About RFR

Our Mission is to support Franco-Russian economic relations by initiating technological cooperation between French and Russian companies and research centers.

Our goal is to create a favourable environment for bilateral projects in:

  • scientific research (support of co-operation between national and private laboratories and companies)
  • technology transfer from laboratories to the industry and between industrial sectors.

The Franco-Russian technology network project (RFR – R?seau Franco-Russe) was started as a result of the joint initiative of the French and Russian Governments, and financial support from the French bilateral programme COCOP. Creation of the network was approved at the meeting of the French and Russian Ministers of Science in July 2002.
The National Co-ordinator from the French side is OSEO anvar - the former French National Agency.
The National Co-ordinator from the Russian side is the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE).

The network operates in the following way:
  o members – consultancies and innovation centres that have technology-oriented customers, universities and R&D institutes, high-tech companies of both countries. Certified by the network, the members act as technology brokers.
  o participants – any research and/or technology-oriented organizations, with an appropriate potential, interested in co-operation with French partners.

Exchange of technology profiles (requests and offers of technologies) in RFR is based on the database and formats of RTTN (Russian Technology Transfer Network) technological platform. RTTN (www.rttn.ru) was developed in accordance with European standards, those used by European Innovation Relay-Centres (IRC).
• RFR information and technology platform consists of two databases: 1) a database of technology profiles (requests and offers), provided by the validated network members, and 2) a database of RFR members and participants.

Network services available:
• Preparation and input to the RFR web-site of technology offers and requests via RFR members – technology brokers;
• Dissemination of information about offers and requests for technologies/R&D works among RFR members and their clients;
• Search of partners for projects with a good potential for co-operation;
• Express-evaluation of technology profiles;
• Assistance and follow-up for contacts, when a client profile receives an expression of interest;
• Access to information resources of RFR partners.
